New Year, Same YOU!

Updated: May 6, 2020

Hello 2020, are you one of those who says, "New Year, New You?" each January?

Why is it that we do that? Why do we focus on changing who we are instead of loving who we are growing into?

Each year my husband and I sit down together and make goals for the new year, not resolutions but goals. Along with reviewing our goals from the previous year, we strive to focus on how we can build each other up and grow to be the best versions of ourselves as husband and wife, as well as individuals. We have categories such as personal, marriage, wealth, health, spiritual, and travel.

I believe we need to start loving who we are and trust that whatever decision you made at a particular time was the right decision for you. Be decisive and go! Trust your gut, your gut is your second brain anyway, why not trust it?! Love who you are and be okay with not being perfect. Let's all work to let the fear of judgment be replaced with self-love and vulnerability, it's one of the strongest things anyone can do. Maybe if we didn't put so much pressure on what others think and just focus on what's best for us, we could all accomplish our "resolutions" more easily. Make goals that excite you, not goals that you feel like you HAVE to do because people say its what you "should" or "shouldn't do".

Cheers to this new decade of love and happiness! Enjoy the ride!
