Whenever you bring awareness through thoughts and emotions, and through your senses, to what you are experiencing in this moment, you are being mindful.
Tips to help you be more Mindful:
*Take 5-10 mins everyday to practice shutting off your "monkey" brain by meditating
set a timer, put your phone on airplane mode or use an app like headspace, calm or just simple searching mediation on youtube.
*Mindful movement, again set aside any distractions and move your body will just focusing on being present such as yoga, hiking, mindful walking (not listening to anything but the sound of nature)
*Mindful Breathing, sitting and listening to your breath. Focus on your inhale and exhale for 5 mins. Use oils such as Frankincense or Palo Santo to help calm the mind. What comes up for you?
